Molded of elastomers

The first tóricas meetings were made of natural rubber. It use was limited at the water and other fluids that did not deteriorate the rubber. The Neopreno of Du Pont in the 30's years and PERBUNAN of Standard Oil Co. Of 40's years introduced resistant elastomers to the oil, being able to make combinations more satisfactory for general use. Since numerous elastomers have been developed to produce meetings and pieces in general with the purpose of working in more extreme conditions of high pressures, temperatures and improvements of their properties of chemical and physical resistance with new different fluids. Throughout the years thousands of elastomeric compounds, each one of them have been elaborated useful to solve different problems from watertightness.

We hoped that the data that are obtained in this pamphlet serve the designers to select the compound that adjusts better to the environmental conditions that need. The recommendations including are based on tens of thousands of tests of compatibility, physical properties of resistance and the good experimental test results.
